Twenty five coaches from Clare, Galway, Tipperary and Cork completed their Level 1 Coaching qualification at the Lee’s Rd. facility, Ennis, Co. Clare this past weekend.

The course was organised by Athletics Ireland Development team in conjunction with Clare AAI Couty Board. Coaches from 11 different clubs took part in the event with the Clare clubs particularly well represented. Feedback from participants was very positive and coaches were particularly generous in their appreciation and praise for guest tutors Claire McNamara, David Courtney, Michael Casey and Jerry Horgan whose contributions added greatly to the overall quality of the course.

Course coordinator Paul McNamara thanked all the participants for their enthusiastic contribution to the success of the course. He also thanked the tutors mentioned above for giving generously of their time and expertise. Clare Co. Board, and particularly Vincent McCarthy, were also thanked for their efforts in coordinating the course.
