In knapp drei Wochen werden die Olympische Spiele in London eröffnet. Vorgestern hat das "Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG)" das offizielle Souvenir Programm vorgestellt. Auf 190 Seiten wird die Geschichte der bisherigen Olympischen Spiele dargestellt. Ein Willkommensgruß der"Her Majesty The Queen, David Cameron and Mayor Boris Johnson" ergänzt das Programm.

"With the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games less than a month away, the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has launched the official souvenir programme of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The programme goes on sale today via www.london2012.com/shop and across official London 2012 shops and John Lewis department stores, priced at only £10.
At just over 190 pages, the programme explores the history of previous Olympic Games, provides an A-Z of this year's Olympic sports and contains exclusive introductory letters from Her Majesty The Queen, David Cameron and Mayor Boris Johnson, making this programme a unique keepsake for London 2012.
The programme also offers exclusive access into the training routines of some of Team GB's most promising athletes along with behind the scenes interviews from those who are helping to make the Olympic Games run smoothly, from an equestrian course builder to armoury and transport team members.
Learn more about some of the world's greatest athletes with an in depth interview from the fastest man on the planet, Usain Bolt, and unique photography of international sports heroes Rafael Nadal and Michael Phelps, among many more. The programme is part of the official London 2012 merchandise range. It is estimated that the range will generate more than £1 billion worth of sales, contributing more than £86m to the staging of the Games.
