USATF\’s RunJumpThrow program collaborates with USOC for Olympic Day celebration – USA Track & Field – News

By admin 0

INDIANAPOLIS – USA Track & Field and its flagship youth activity program partnership with The Hershey Company, RunJumpThrow (RJT), will help celebrate 2017 Olympic Day activities, USATF announced Monday.

Local RJT organizers can be part of the celebration by hosting new RunJumpThrow events during the month of June.

In order to be recognized as an Olympic Day celebration host, RunJumpThrow event organizers are encouraged to register a new event on the RJT calendar by May 19 and complete their registered RunJumpThrow event during the month of June. Olympic Day is recognized globally on June 23.

The first 2,000 registered hosts through the USOC's Olympic Day platform will receive supplies provided by the United States Olympic Committee to be gifted to the participants.

RunJumpThrow (RJT) has seen tremendous growth since its launch in 2015, positively impacting over 500,000 children in 49 states and several countries, introducing them to the foundational skills of running, jumping, and throwing.

To become a RunJumpThrow event organizer, visit runjumpthrow.usatf.org/Organizer and submit the Event Organizer Registration Form. The simple 3-step process will allow you add an event to the calendar and complete a RunJumpThrow in June.

About RunJumpThrow

USA Track & Field and Hershey teamed up to create RunJumpThrow, a hands-on learning program that gets kids excited about physical activity by introducing them to the basic running, jumping and throwing skills through track and field. RunJumpThrow (RJT) provides children ages 7-12 a fun chance to learn and practice these skills, which are the foundations of track & field nearly every other sport.
