Because of these temperatures our body is under stress and we therefore remind every runner to prepare for the high temperatures on the race day.
- Drink enough – during the race 0.6 – 1 l per hour
- Usea heat, sun blocker and sun glasses before and during the race. The sun is very strong on this altitude.
- Make sure you have enough salt in your organism. Drink the available isotonic drinks and soup that are offered on the provision stations along the course.
- Cool your body down – use the wet sponges, the open showers and sprinklers andthe various creeks and fountains along the course.
- Avoid the sun – stay in the shade the day before the race.
Remember; your health and safety always coms first! For more information, please do not hesitate to contact our team at the Swissalpine News, the information desk or along the track for any further information. If you are not feeling well during the race, please contact the nearest medical station or provision station along the course.

Our organism is made for cool temperatures. With the predicted heat, our personal performance limit will decrease for about 10% in the heat sections. Please consider this fact for your race and plan accordingly!
Have a good race!
