RUNNING GERMANY – Haspa Marathon Hamburg on 22. Mai 2011 – 2011 and 2012 German Championship in Hamburg – Entry now open

On 22 May 2011 is the start of the biggest running event in Hamburg – the Haspa Marathon Hamburg. The promoter and marketer ACT AGENCY GmbH has succeeded to win an established Hamburg company as the new title sponsor for one of the world's most prestigious marathons: The Hamburger Sparkasse. The Haspa will be title sponsor for three years.

Also from a sporting perspective the Haspa Marathon Hamburg will gain an increased appreciation next year: after 1988, 1995 and 1999 the German Championships will take place in Hamburg for the fourth time in 2011.

With persistent or sometimes increasing numbers of runners, spectators and media figures the Haspa Marathon Hamburg is one of the biggest road races in the world, marking not only an ideal communication platform for companies but is indispensable even across national borders as a flagship of the City of Sports .

In addition to the many professionals, runners from over 80 nations are facing the challenge of the Marathon in Hamburg every year. On 22 May 2011 approximately 60,000 spectators will be at the Runner's Party on the Heiligengeistfeld and 850,000 enthusiastic marathon fans, family members and friends are expected along the 42.195 km long course.

 

Entry now open

Since 15 October 2010 the new Haspa Marathon Hamburg homepage is online. With the new design all running and marathon interested will find anything important about the 42,195 kilometers between the Alster and the Elbe. On www.marathon-hamburg.de also volunteers and pace runners may apply. Interesting Links on all aspects of running complement the site, which is also available in English language. Registration for the Hamburg Marathon on 22 Haspa May 2011 can already be made online and by postal mail. For the championship events marathon runners can sign up from mid-November.

Organisation fee: what do I get for it?

The organization fee is € 70.00 for the first 22,000 registrations. After that, the organization fee increases to € 100,00 until the registration limit of 25,000 is reached. Advantage for HaspaJoker customers: Anyone who is in possession of a HaspaJoker gets a € 7.50 discount on the organization fee.

 

Basic Package (covered by organizing fee):

•Organisation by a professional event team working for a full year dedicated to preparing and running an event totally focused on the best interests of each participating athlete

•Notification of confirmation of participation by post or email
