RUNNING GERMANY: BERLIN – High school students from Velten meet Karin Gueffroy and Dr. Ronald Musil – 6. 100 Miles Berlin – The Wall race on august 12/13, 2017
This year, a student relay team from the Velten Hedwig-Bollhagen-Gymnasium near Berlin is going to be at the start of the Wall Race for the second time.
Beforehand, the LG Mauerweg Berlin has organized a dialogue for the high school students with the contemporary witness Karin Gueffroy. She is the mother of the last victim of the Wall, Chris Gueffroy, who was shot in 1989 during an escape attempt.
The students have been deeply impressed by the personal story of Karin Gueffroy and had many questions, also to the idea provider for the race, Dr. Ronald Musil. With her answers Karin Gueffroy set a clear statement against oblivion.
