ICSSPE Says Goodbye to Margaret Talbot

The news of the death of ICSSPE President Professor Margaret Talbot has been met with sadness among the sport movement around the world.  The ICSSPE Executive Office has received a great many messages from member and partner organisations, as well as from friends, colleagues and strategic partners, sharing their dismay about the gap Margaret Talbot’s death will leave in the sport science and physical education community.

Members of the President’s Committee will attend the civil service for their President and have a first meeting in Leeds, the residential home of Margaret Talbot. An ordinary meeting of the President’s Committee has been scheduled for the end of January 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The service to commemorate Margaret Talbot’s life will take place on Tuesday 16 December 2014 at 13:00 GMT at Rawdon Crematorium, on Leeds Road, Rawdon, Leeds LS19 6JP. The service is followed by a reception at The Village Hotel (Leeds North), 186 Otley Road, Headingley, Leeds LS16 5PR.
