A new initiative listed on the International Platform on Sport and Development is the Australian Sports Outreach Program – India.

Coordinated by the Australian Sports Commission, the initiative will run for 4 years in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Goa in India.

The programme aim is to build capacity of organisations in India to use quality sport activities as a tool to contribute to improving livelihoods.

Special target groups are youth, persons with disabilities, girls and women.
