MESSAGE FROM OUR RACE DIRECTOR
As marathon training seasons go, I would imagine that this one feels different after the year we have all experienced. Here at Grandma’s Marathon HQ, we can confirm that planning has been unique as well.
Our team is fond of the adage “the only constant [in race planning] is change.”
Race weekend in June will no doubt have changes to ensure the safest possible event, but that won’t diminish the Grandma’s Marathon experience we all love.
I find us leaning on our community and partners more than ever. Conversations with medical leaders and health officials, city and county agencies, volunteer leaders and more are very positive and provide us invaluable guidance.
Our plan is taking shape, and we’re committed to seeing many of you at the start line!
