European Masters Game (EMG) Lignano – registration deadline postponed, 3306 entrants already
Lignano – The Olympic thrill, as the world’s fastest man said – Jamaica’s Asafa Powell – attracts to Lignano more and more athletes, about one hundred a day are registering for the European Masters Game (EMG), the sporting event dedicated to over 30 athletes, taking place in Friuli Venezia Giulia from 10 to 20 September 2011.
3306 SO FAR – Entrants for the Games are now 3306 and owing to the great number of registrations over the last days the OC of Lignano 2011 decided to postpone the deadline of 31 July to a date to be arranged.
ATHLETICS, 759– Among the most popular sports, the first is Athletics (759) but the growth in participants is proportional in all 21 disciplines. The organizers had to announce that the limit of participants has been reached for pentathlon throw (hammer, large hammer, shot put, discus, and javelin), with stylist Ottavio Missioni (90 years old) among the last competitors to enter the race for three (shot put, discus and javelin) of the five events scheduled. |
