AUCKLAND – New Zealand Long Distance Race Walking Championships, Ngataringa Bay Devonport – 15 November 2014
Alana Barber clocked one of the fastest women's 20km race walking times in New Zealand in winning the national title in 1:39:01. Her winning performance in extremely windy conditions was faster than Jenni Jones-Billington's 1994 New Zealand 20,000m track record of 1:39:23.1 and three minutes outside Gabrielle Gorst's 2003 20km road record of 1:35:59 set in Dunedin in 2003.

Roseanne Robinson was second in 1:54:39 with Corinne Smith third in 2:00:19. Graeme Jones won his fourth national 50km title in 5:11:11. He has previously won in 2004, 2011 and 2012. Jonathon Lord won the junior men's 20km in 1:45:40 and Samantha Parkinson took out the junior women's 10km in 1:13:19. Jared Free won the youth 10km in 48:51, bettering his own Auckland record.

Athletics Auckland Meeting, Mt Smart Stadium – 15 November 2014
In cold wet and windy conditions Cameron French followed up his fast times on the sprint races the previous week with his fourth fastest 400m of 47.27s. Jessica Hood won the youth women 400m in 58.62s.
Austen Heuvel and Livvy Wilson were the quickest over 100m, Heuvel clocking 11 seconds and Wilson 12.43s. The 1500m winners were Guy Kilmister in 4:00.67 and Maiya Christini in 4:52.55. Veronica Torr was over the 100m hurdles in 14.97 (+3.7). Scott Gregory had the 5kg hammer out to 63.32m.

HAMILTON
70th Anniversary Round the Bridges 12km Road Race – 16 November 2014

Aaron Pulford, in a build up for next month's Zatopek 10,000m in Melbourne, was a convincing winner in 37:30. Jono Jackson was second in 38:13 followed by Daniel Wallis 38:34, Tim Stewart 40:02 and Sam Osborne 41:03. Camille Buscomb (pictured), in her final race before heading to Japan for the Chiba International Ekiden Relay, made it two years in a row in the women's race running 44:21 to beat Annie Keown by 11 seconds. Buscomb recorded 43:02 last year. Hannah Barker was third in 46:04, Emily Roughan fourth in 46:32 and Rebecca Kingsford fifth in 47:26. Over 6000 runners, including 800 in the children's 2km challenge, took part across all the events.

Kerikeri Half Marathon -15 November 2014
Sasha Daniels for the second year in a row 1:10:50 PB, Harry Linford, second last year second again in 1:16:19, Chris Robb 1:17:48, Gene Rand 1:18:19. Rebecca Fogarty for the second year in a row 1:18:56 PB, Claire Walton 1:23:59, Katrin Gottschalk third last year third again 1:24:15, Anna Williams 1:24:25.

Phoebe Edwards 100m 12.51 (+5.8), LJ 5.29m (+2.3), HJ 1.65m. Alex Howden 100m 10.87 (+5.7), Saravee Sos 10.89, Jonty Morison 11.02. Sos 200m 22.16 (+2.6). Michael Poa youth 400m 53.44 1500m 4:21.11. Chris Brake equalled his PB and Tasman junior record of 2.03m in the high jump. Brake has been accepted for an athletic scholarship next year at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Dale Pritchard senior DT 48.82m and SP 15.37m. Kai Mason 1.5kg DT 43.53m and 5kg SP 13.88m. Bailey Cotton 1.5kg DT 33.88m.
