Sweden's Multi-event master Carolina Kluft made the headlines before the World Indoors in Valencia after she had to pull out of competition due to injury and then confirmed she would not defend her Olympic Heptathlon title in Beijing.

Without Kluft in the competition the Heptathlon becomes a wide open event, with potential British, Ukrainian and Belgian winners.  Yet the reigning European, World and Olympic Champion will not be taking a spectators seat in Beijing, Kluft's Coach Agne Bergvall thinks that she will be able to achieve a World class result not only in her favourite individual event – the Long Jump, but also in the women's Triple Jump.

Bergvall confirmed that the 25-year-old superstar had reduced her training times from nine to seven times a week, and Sweden's hugely respected Jumps Coach, Yannick Tregaro (coach of Olsson, Green and in the past Bergqvist) believes that Kluft could achieve a 14.50m Triple Jump.
