WM-Aktuell Moskau 2013: Tirunesh Dibaba stürmt zum WM-Gold, Sabrina Mockenhaupt gibt auf – Schrader SILBER im Zehnkampf

Tirunesh Dibaba ist in eindrucksvoller Manier bei den Leichtathletik-Weltmeisterschaften in Moskau zur Goldmedaille gestürmt.

Die Äthiopierin gewann das 10.000-m-Finale nach einem Schlussspurt wie zu ihren besten Zeiten in 30:43,35 Minuten vor der Kenianerin Gladys Cherono (30:45,17).

Dritte wurde Dibabas Landsfrau Belaynesh Oljira (30:46,98), die auf den allerletzten Metern noch die Kenianerin Emily Chebet (30:47,02) abfing.

Sabrina Mockenhaupt (LG Sieg) kam nicht ins Ziel, sie gab das Rennen vorzeitig auf.

Previously the fastest time on Russian soil was 13.17 by Collin Jackson in Sankt Peterburg in 1998
while the fastest time in Moskva was 13.25 by Greg Foster from 1986
The fastest time in first round of World Championships was Jackson in 1997 and 1999 and Richardson in 2011
while the fastest time in preliminary round of WC was 13.11 by Jack Pierce in semi in 1993 and Richardson in semi of 2011
And thus Oliver's time of 13.05 is the fastest non-final time in the World Championships
W100m 
10.94 is the fastest first round (although this may not be a real first round) of 100m in the World Championships.
Previously the fastest first round time was 11.01 by Pintusevich from 1997.
For a reference, fastest second round time is 10.76 by Jones in 1999

20Km Walk 
1:20:58 is the slowest winning time since 2007
Chen Ding won second gold for CHN in this event at the World Championships. 
Previously Wang Hao was the only CHN medalist at this event at WC
Both Aleksandr Ivanov and Chen Ding are World Junior champ silver medalist, Ivanov in 2012 and Chen in 2008
100m (semi) 
10.00 is the new fastest time that failed to qualify for the final of 100m in World Championships. 
Previously the fastest time that failed to qualify for the final of WC 100m WAS 10.04 from 2009.
The fastest semi time today was 9.90, so 9.87 in qf of of 1997 WC is still the fastest non-final time in history. 
800m (semi) 
For the first time since 1995 No Kenyan in the 800m final
They also failed to make the final in 1983
Brandon Johnson with 1:44.89 will NOT make the final. He is now the fastest who failed to make the final
Previously 1:44.90 by Yusuf Kamel from 2005 was the fastest time that failed to make the final

Tirunesh won third gold at 10000m in WC, most by women distance runner. 

100m 
9.77 is the third fastest time in World Championships 100m.
Again it broke Russian All Comers' record 
For the second time in this event at WC, JAM won gold and bronze (last time was 2009)
Decathlon 
Eaton became the fifth (after Thompson, O'Brien, Sebrle, and Clay) Decathlete to won gold in 
both Olympic and World Championships.
He also become fifth (OBrien, Sebrle, Pappas and Clay)to win both Worlds and World Indoor
WDT
Perkovic became third (after Hellman and Zvereba) Women Discus thrower to win both Olympic and Worlds gold medal.
Perkovic won first medal for CRO while Robert-Michon won first medal for FRA in Women's DT at WC
