The World Academy of Sport (WAoS) announced the appointment of François Carrard as Chairman of its International Advisory Board (IAB) to help guiding the development of the Academy and its global support of sport. Before he took over this responsibility, Carrard was the Director General of the IOC from 1989 to 2003, a lawyer and a board member of international companies.
The World Academy of Sport provides educational programmes for sport, as well as major event industries and is co-operated by IF Education, an international entity providing sports education and the University of Manchester, England, based within the Manchester Business School.
