WMRA – Important decisions were set by the 30. WMRA Congress at Krynica Zdroj on last 6. September 2013.

Present 40 nations of the 43 WMRA affiliated (absent were India, Netherlands and Liechtenstein), unanimously were elected the WMRA President, Secretary and Treasurer for next four year.
Italian Bruno Gozzelino was confirmed like President and USA Nancy Hobbs like Treasurer instead Welsh Adrian Woods was elected like new WMRA Secretary.

For the five places as WMRA Directors for next two years , old Council members Wolfgang Munzel (Germany),  Erhan Basoglu (Turkey), Galia Puhaleva (Bulgaria) and Tomo Sarf (Slovenia) were also confirmed and the only new entry was Andrzej Puchacs (Poland) who replaced Italia Raimondo Balicco, who was nominated Honorary WMRA Council member by the Congress.

WMRA Congress accepted Italian bid for next 30. World Mountain Running Championships 2014 in Italy at Casette di Massa (Toscana) and after a secret ballot choose Great Britain like LOC of the 31. World Mountain Running Championships 2015 at the venue of  Betws y Coed.

Bulgaria candidature from Sapareva Banya was beaten for 19 votes against 14 voted; but Bulgaria Athletics federation announced its interested for organizing 32. World Mountain Running Championships 2016. Finally USA declared interest for the organization of 33. World Mountain Running Championships 2017

Most important event of next 2014 were already fixed by WMRA Council, and only WMRA Grand Prix on next year and Youth International Cup must be again scheduled.
