Welcome to the Biel Running Days/Switzerland on 6. – 8.06.2013

The biggest changes for the next Biel Running days have been completed. The largest annual sporting event has arrived well in the city center of Biel and would like to settle and establish itself there as well. In the coming years, the primary target is to consolidate the process of making improvements targeted towards the runners.

With the new main sponsors other sponsors and service providers, we have a solid foundation for the future. We hope that in the coming years we will be able to work with the existing organization enabling a sustainable rise in the future of the Biel Running days. We do, of course, still also rely on the goodwill and co-operation of the city and the region in order to continue and to grow in the future.

Due to the extensive construction happening at the Kongresshaus in Biel, we have been forced to changed the infrastructure of the race a little bit. Luckily we have used this curve ball to our advantage and for all finishers this year it will be a very special experience crossing the finish line.

Before crossing the finish line, all runners will run through the marquee tent, this will surely be a "goosebump inducing" moment for all our participants!

The new City Run which takes place the evening before, on Thursday night gives also hobby-runners, fun runners, or even beginners a change to participate in the Biel Runnings Days. The City Run takes place on a 1.5km circuit and each participant can decide how many rounds they wish to complete in an hours time. This run is not based on competition or rank, but on having fun and the overall experience.

At the end the participants will not be listed by rank, but will be listed alphabetically with the number of rounds completed next to their name. Everyone is welcome to participate in the first City Run, so round up your friends, family and co-workers to have a good time together, improve your physical fitness and participate in a very special sports event in the city of Biel!
