Berlin, 8 January 2014 – From 17 to 26 January the 26 hall complexes at the International Green Week Berlin 2014 will offer a unique experience to visitors. Around 100,000 food products and specialities from all over the world, several thousand livestock animals and pets, over 35,000 flowers as well as 20 stages hosting shows: these are just some of the impressive figures that sum up the world’s largest exhibition for agriculture, food and horticulture.

Further improvements have been made to the hall layout in preparation for the forthcoming fair. For the first time Messe Berlin has combined the halls exhibiting pets and livestock. The World of Pets has moved to Hall 26b and is now next door to Hunting and Fishing in Hall 26a and the big Livestock Hall (Hall 25), which features all the livestock breeds, as well as being next to the Farm Experience in Hall 3.2. Families with children in particular, for whom display areas with animals offer a special attraction, will be able to take advantage of this hall layout.

New: this year Hall 1.2a features exhibitors from the international food industry. The BioHall is now in Hall 1.2b. In Hall 4.2 the German food industry invites visitors to participate in the Food Dialogue. For the first time a hall is being devoted entirely to the Asian food industry (Hall 6.2a). Estonia, the partner country, now occupies a significantly larger display area in Hall 8.2.

Pointers to help visitors find their way around: the display areas featuring farming exhibits are on the southern section of the exhibition grounds. The Road of the Federal States passes through the halls encircling the Summer Garden on the western side and the international food industry can be found mainly in the display halls on the eastern side of the grounds.
