USA Track & Field News – Harrison nominated for USSA Athlete of the Month
For her world-leading performance in beating a deep women’s 100-meter hurdle field at the 104th edition of the Drake Relays, Queen Harrison has been nominated for the United States Sports Academy’s Athlete of the Month award for the month of April.

Harrison’s time of 12.71 seconds is the best time in the world this season and came against a field that included 2008 Olympic gold medalist and 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Dawn Harper, 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Kellie Wells and American indoor record holder and two-time Olympian Lolo Jones. The performance also earned Harrison USATF Athlete of the Week honors.
Along with Harrison, nominees for the award include both international and domestic names such as Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova and Baylor standout center Brittany Griner.
