INDIANAPOLIS – Aldrich Bailey has been named USA Track & Field’s Athlete of the Week for his performances at the recent World Youth Track & Field Trials held in Myrtle Beach, S. C.

Aldrich Bailey of Arlington, Texas completed the double with record-setting victories in both the 200m and 400m, earning a spot on the U.S. team competing at the World Youth Championships currently being held in Lille, France. Bailey clocked 46.57 in the 400m and 21.09 in the 200m.

Now in its tenth year, USATF's Athlete of the Week program is designed to recognize outstanding performers at all levels of the sport. USATF names a new honoree each week and features the athlete on the USATF website. Selections are based on top performances and results from the previous week.
