Hassay reaches world championships “B” standard – On Sunday Jordan Hassay joined the list of distance runners that have successfully chased world championships qualifying standards, which also includes Ryan Hill, Leo Manzano and Lopez Lomong.
Hassay ran 31:46.42 in the 10,000 meters late Sunday at the Roughrider Twilight meet in Portland to run under the World Championships “B” standard and assure her spot on Team USA for the upcoming World Outdoor Championships August 10-18 in Moscow, Russia. On Saturday, Hill improved his 5,000m personal best by more than 12 seconds to 13:14.22 to grab the World Championships “B” standard at a race in Belgium and secure his spot on Team USA for the World Outdoor Championships.

The World Championships roster will be announced July 29.
