Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K Entries on Record Pace – YMCA 10K Training Team closes registration with more than 3,700 registered
RICHMOND, Va. – With the help of a one-day record of 3,848 entries on Monday alone, the 12th edition of the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K presented by MARTIN'S has topped the 28,000-mark in total entries received. Registration is running more than 2,000 ahead of the pace set for the 2010 race, when a record 37,365 participants entered the country's fourth largest 10K road race.
The YMCA 10K Training Team closed registration with a total of over 3,700 people registered to train at one of the 15 local YMCA branches. The 10-week training program began last month.
Registration is still open for the 2011 Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K presented by MARTIN'S, to be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, and a total of 40,000 registrants will be accepted. The registration fee is $35 through Monday, February 28, 2011.
