Cardiff Half Marathon, 5th October
Ryan McLeod took full points in the fifth race in the Runbritain Grand Prix series in Cardiff with a new lifetime best of 64:57. McLeod took the British half marathon title at the same time as he finished fourth overall behind the winner, Boniface Kongin of Kenya.
Emma Stepto (coach: Alan Rowling) took the women’s British half marathon title recording a time of 72:28 which was a new personal best. Rebecca Robinson, fresh from her World Mountain Running exploits a couple of weeks ago also produced her best run over the distance to date in a time of 72:38. Joan Chelimo of Kenya took the women’s title but Susan Partridge’s course record remained intact.

ERRA Men’s 6 stage, Sutton Park – 4th October
Aldershot Farnham & District ‘A’ took the men’s title in Sutton Park with a time of 1:46.48. Joshua Grace (Mick Woods) recorded the team’s fastest time on the lead off leg which set them up well to take the title. Highgate Harriers took the silver and Sale Harriers ‘A’ took the bronze.
Andrew Butchart (Derek Easton) from Central AC ran the fastest leg of the day with a time of 17:08.

ERRA Women’s 4 stage, Sutton Park – 4th October
Aldershot Farnham & District ‘A’ secured the double of senior titles beating the opposition by a clear two minutes. Steph Twell (Woods) ran the fastest leg of the day recording 14:04 on the second leg. Lily Partridge and Emelia Gorecka (both Woods) were the second and third fastest on the day with times of 14.07 and 14:09.
Birchfield Harriers ‘A’ and Aldershot Farnham & District ‘B’ won the silver and bronze team medals respectively.

ERRA National Young Athletes, Sutton Park, 5th October
Among the highlights, Ben Dijkstra ran the quickest leg in the men’s U17 race in a time of 11.19 to lead Leicester Corinthians to victory at Sutton Park.

Great Scottish Run Half Marathon, Glasgow, 5th October
Callum Hawkins (Robert Hawkins) enjoyed a good debut over the half marathon distance with a time of 63:06 which took him up to fourth on the power of ten rankings in 2014. Stephen Mokoka of South Africa won the men’s race in a time of 61:25.
Susan Partridge (Steve Jones) returned to the streets of Glasgow after a sixth place finish in the Commonwealth marathon to cross the line in 72:12 to finish fifth. Fellow Scot Beth Potter (Mick Woods) made an encouraging debut over the half marathon distance clocking 73:29 just behind Partridge. Edna Kiplagat of Kenya took the victory overall.
Great Scottish Run 10k, Glasgow, 5th October
Jade Jones (Ian Thompson/Tanni Grey-Thompson) and Simon Lawson won the wheelchair races over the 10k distance in Glasgow in 29:10 and 23:39 respectively.
