General runner registration for Tokyo Marathon 2014 (February 23, 2014) has been closed on Saturday, August 31st.

A total number of applicants (Marathon, 10km) was about 303,000, which is a little less than last year while its oversubscription rate still remains high at 10.2. We sincerely appreciate your continuous interest in participating in our event.

The lottery results will be informed to all the applicants by email from Thursday, September 26 onwards.

To become a world-class event that can contribute to the society through the power of sports, Tokyo Marathon has been implementing its own charity program, “TSUNAGU,” since Tokyo Marathon 2011.

We are now exited to welcome more people to join our Tokyo Marathon 2014 Charity “TSUNAGU”, by simply donating or participating as charity runners*.

*Charity Runners: Among individuals donating ¥100,000 or more, those who wish to participate in the marathon can do so as charity runners for a particular charitable activity (full marathon only; up to 3,000 runners on a first-come, first-served basis).
