NOVI SAD (SER): Former European High Jump Champion, Dragutin Topic (SER) is organizing the 4th edition of EUROTOP this thursday – a men only, indoor High Jump meeting set to music. The main star of the event is the World Championship bronze medallist Kyriacos Ioannou of Cyprus who will start his season with this event. Cuban Victor Moya (who just missed his indoor PB of 2.32m in Banska Bystrica) and US Jamie Nieto form the other top names. These three athletes are in a strong position to attack the 2006m 2.31m meet record of Italian, Nicola Ciotti.

PARIS: (FRA): 2005 World 110m Hurdles Champion, Ladji Doucoure, will have to miss the rest of the indoor season due to a knee injury. He had planned to compete at the French Championships this weekend but that will not be possible.

TALLINN (EST, Feb 6): The top three marks from the second round of the Estonian National meeting series 'BIG Kuldliiga 2008' are as follows: Tonis Sahk achieved a lifetime best of 7.85m in the Long Jump, Maris Urtans made a 19.71m Shot Put, and versatile Ksenija Balta sprinted the 60m in 7.40.

PRAGUE (CZE, Feb 5): The Czech Republics fastest man in recent years, Jiri Vojtik, clocked a strong 300m time of 33.78 during a local meeting in Stromovka Hall. In the same event European, World and Olympic Decathlon Champion, Roman Sebrle continued in his Decathlon preparation, achieving 8.14 in the 60m Hurdles and 15.52m in the Shot Put.

CATANIA (ITA, Feb 3): Olympic Marathon winner Stefano Baldini continues in his preparation for London Marathon. He won the 45th Trofeo Sant´Agata 12km men's race in Siciliy with a solid time of 35:15. Ugandan Wilson Busienei finished second (35:20) and best Kenyan, Joel Kimurer finished third (35:21).

BUCHAREST (ROM, Feb 3): Romainian jumper, Adelina Gavrila achieved a new Triple Jump World-leading time and personal best of 14.78m at a local competition. Lilian Popescu clocked 2:02.57 and 4:06.29 at 800m and 1,500m, while Anca Heltne improved the women's Shot Put lead to 18.81m.

FUERTEVENTURA (ESP, Feb 3): Juan Carlos de la Ossa won the 10.1km Fuerteventura International Cross Country race in 30:49, while Judit Plat (ESP) won the woman's 6.1km in 20:57.
