New participant registration record. Last starting places available – unique medal in a new design
10 km race fully booked: but there are still chances to start
Three years ago, SCC EVENTS, the organizer of the adidas Runners City Night, completely redesigned the race route, transforming Kurfürstendamm into the city’s fastest runner’s party. The attractive course is now no longer an insider tip.
This is also reflected in the registration figures:
With a total of 14,500 registrations, a new record has been set. The 10K main race was sold out well in advance! But if you don’t want to miss out on the summer event and its party atmosphere, there are still chances to take part. A few places are still available for the 5 km run and skating event and can be registered for at the adidas flagship store in Berlin from Thursday and on Saturday at the event venue.
Unique medal for over 14,500 athletes
On the evening of July 26, 2025, Berlin’s asphalt will be packed with over 14,500 runners and skaters taking part in a summer spectacle across the city’s western district. The starting line and the atmospherically lit finish line are located directly on Kurfürstendamm, within sight of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
From the course, the route heads in all four directions through evening Berlin – the route maps are available here.
Along the route, samba bands and a party-loving capital city crowd will provide plenty of encouragement to help you achieve your best time. A real highlight is Adenauerplatz, where the atmosphere really heats up again before the runners cross the illuminated finish line to receive their well-deserved medals. These have been given a completely new design that glows in the dark – which is probably quite unique.
In addition to recreational athletes, numerous top athletes
The adidas Runners City Night is not only of interest to recreational skaters and runners. Every year, more and more competitive athletes are drawn to the magnificent boulevard in the city west. Race Director Mark Milde has put together an impressive field, with Hanne Verbruggen, Maor Tiyouri, Chloé Herbiet, and Eilish McColgan among the four female starters who competed in last year’s Olympic Games.
Eilish McColgan is likely to be particularly familiar to Berliners as the winner of the 2023 GENERALI BERLIN HALBMARATHON. McColgan’s best time of 30:19 minutes is well below the course record set by Hanne Verbruggen last year with 31:34 minutes.
Furthermore, the women’s field reads like a who’s who of the national running scene with Alina Reh, Kristina Hendel, Esther Pfeiffer, Katja Fischer, Rabea and Deborah Schöneborn.
In the men’s field, Johannes Motschmann, Sebastian Hendel, Peter Herzog, Aaron Bienenfeld, Filimon Abraham and Hendrik Pfeiffer are equally illustrious names, promising a close race.
In inline skating, multiple winner Franziska Petry is the favorite among the women. In the men’s competition, the top three finishers from 2024 will be at the start, led by serial winner Alexander Bastidas.

For a good cause
Well-maintained and clean running shoes can be handed in on race day at Breitscheidplatz, right next to the start/finish area.
The Berlin City Mission will be there from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will later ensure that the shoes get to where they are urgently needed.
