The 2K FUN RUN of the U.S. Embassy in honor of Martin W. Teague and Chargé Meltzer through the Tiergarten
Lace up your laces, put your energy gel in your belt!
The @berlinmarathon is coming up!
We couldn’t wait and organized a small FUN RUN! Chargé Meltzer led the 2K RUN together with and in honor of Martin W. Teague, who participated in the “1st Berlin People’s Marathon” in 1974 as a U.S. soldier on the marathon team of the U.S. brigade.
And a big thank you to the founder of the Berlin Marathon, Horst Milde, for being here today.
We even had a few professional runners with us: @danielrennt, @jennymarximus, @runningpower and Marcus Urban from @diversero_org
Thank you all! And good luck to all the marathon runners!

PS: It might be a good idea to repeat this race in 2025 by inviting the Berlin running community. This would further invigorate and strengthen transatlantic ties, since the BERLIN MARATHON has its role model in the New York City Marathon and its charismatic inspirer and long-time director Fred Lebow.
