A day full of sporting events, healthy lifestyle, good music and festivities, the sixth annual Marathon along the coastline of the most NonStop city in the world is expecting 35,000 participating runners this year, making it the most popular running event in Israel.

The 2014 Tel Aviv Samsung marathon is a multi-course event enabling runners of various levels and styles to participate, offering 6 different courses: Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10k, 5k, Hand cycle Race for people with special needs, and a Children's Mini-Marathon. Running along Tel Aviv's breathtaking seashore and the White City's Bauhaus-styled architecture, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, promises a one-of-a-kind experience.

Various groups will partake in this year's marathon including: Professional running teams, company teams, police officer teams, ambassadors and diplomats, sporting organizations for the disabled, and many more.

Along the course routes, runners will enjoy performances by bands and DJs as well as areas designated for supporters to come cheer on the runners. The full Marathon and Half Marathon will also offer energy gels and isotonic beverages.

Tel Aviv-Yafo's Mayor, Mr. Ron Huldai, comments on the marathon and its renewal:

"Tel Aviv-Yafo has been a global city for some time now, standing alongside the leading metropolitans in the world such as New York, Paris and London. The Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon is further proof of this. This year's course will run through the main streets of the city, during which the public will enjoy the festivities. The event has become known as the "Marathon Holiday" and exemplifies the cultural diversity of Tel Aviv-Yafo and its people. This is a great celebration, not only for athletes, but for all residents and visitors."

The Tel Aviv Marathon is produced by the Sports Department of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality in collaboration with Kapaim Event Production.
