This spectacular event will kick off Marathon Weekend! The evening feature a showcase runners from around the world as they parade across the marathon finish line. Representatives from NYC running clubs, several U.S. organizations, professional runners, and wheelchair athletes will also join in the procession.

Following the parade, the Marathon Fireworks Presented by Poland Spring will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The Festivities are free and open to everyone. Plan now to come out and be a part of the celebration! Check out the parade route map.

     Friday, October 31, 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m 

    The event will open at 4:00 p.m. with grandstand seating being available on a first-come, first-served basis—overflow standing room along parade route

Location

The Marathon Opening Ceremony Presented by United Airlines will take place in Central Park. Please enter the park at Central Park West and West 66th Street.
