Jasmin's training tips
![]() |
Good resolutions for the new year have been made – use them for a focused training for the Swissalpine too. Jasmin Nunige, 5 time winner of the K78, will provide you every month with a new training tip – in January she presents you hill runs: Goal: strengthen the leg muscles, running technique improvement, intense training without major impact on the articulations. Training: 8-12 reps on soft ascent 8-10%, load duration initially 45 sec. increasing every month up to a max. load of 3 min. The break is as long as you need for returning to the start point in a jog (ex. 1 min load = 1 min 30 sec break) Important for the correct execution of this exercise is a powerful stride, stable hip and a good running technique. It isn't the goal to reach the top very fast but to run as technical and powerful as possible. Hill runs can be included in the training once a week. They can be done almost anywhere at any time. Also on a snow surface or on trails. But a good stride should be possible. Warm-up 30 min / cool down 15 min Enjoy your training and see you next time… Keep an eye on Jasmin's training on Facebook |
