SUISSEGAS MILANO MARATHON 2014: PRESENTED THE TOP RUNNERS

MILAN, April 5th. The top runners that will compete tomorrow in the Suissegas Milano Marathon 2014 have been officially presented in the headquarter of Regione Lombardia, in these days the real heart of the event.

After a short welcome of Antonio Rossi, Assessor of Sport of Regione Lombardia, the Vicepresident of Italian Track&Field Federation, Vincenzo Parrinello, said: ”I’d like to thank RCS Sport as promoter of the event for their great job in creating the best conditions for all the athletes competing tomorrow. Don’t forget that Milano Marathon it’s also the race valid for the Italian title and from this point of view our Federation is supporting the road running activity as we’ve never done in the past”.

Paolo Bellino, General Director of RCS Sport, said that: “…the 14.000 runners of this year should be only the  starting point to reach in a short time the goal of 20.000 people”.

The official presentation went over with the technical analysis of Federico Rosa, technical director of the event. “We’re exspecting a fast run, thanks to good weather forecast”said. “We’re planning to run the first half of marathon in 63’45” that would mean the new  record of the race. This goal could be reached in the women competition by Monica Jepkoech, the last year winner from Kenya”.
