Start list of Mattoni Ústí nad Labem Half Marathon 2020
Ústí nad Labem will not lose an elite starting field this year! Although, the coronavirus pandemic forced us to suspend the EuroHeroes project, the Mattoni Ústí nad Labem Half Marathon hosts a number of exciting runners – European born or raised, in line with the original EuroHeroes concept.
Also, top Czech athletes will have an opportunity to run fast half marathon organized by RunCzech on the Czech soil in 2020! The Czech half marathon female record holder, Eva Vrabcová Nývltová, is coming back to competition after giving birth to a baby girl Adela.
From other Czech stars you should keep an eye on Marcela Joglová, Vít Pavlišta, Jiří Homoláč and Jakub Zemaník, the best Czech in the 10,000 meters.
Top endurance athletes from Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Ukraine and Belarus will also take part in the event. „We are very happy that we managed to secure such a strong field for the Mattoni Ústí nad Labem Half Marathon. This is an evidence, among other things, that we are really serious about supporting European athletics, with the idea of EuroHeroes being based on the development and promotion of European competitors.
With our original project being forced, by the circumstances we are living through, into a short break, Saturday’s race contributes to keeping it alive.” says Carlo Capalbo, President of the RunCzech Organizing Committee.
Further press release to follow post-tomorrow’s press conference.
