On August 5th 1936, 76 days ago to the day, Jesse Owens won the Olympic title for the 200 m in Berlin in front of an audience of Nazis and their supreme leader Adolf Hitler. During these games, he won four gold medals (100m, long jump, 200m, 4x100m), becoming a living legend and a model for the whole world.

Today, in London, a city symbol of résistance to Nazism, as a tribute to the man who, by his incredible performance, brutally shattered the Nazi dream of Aryan supremacy, Luc Dayan* announce the stake in production of a movie called "RACE", whose executive production will be held by Forecast Pictures (Jean Charles lévy). It will be launched in December 2013, year of the centennial of Jesse Owens Birth.

Through an original script written by Pan Nalin (Samsâra 2001, Valley of flowers 2006), the film will narrate the rise of a black athlete grandson of a slave, in stark contrast of the rise of Adolf Hitler. Race tells the intimate and complex story of a man and of the courage which he showed when others were only looking for absolute power.

It is also a human drama, in which two opposite ideas are silently in confrontation during the Olympics of Berlin.

While Hitler and his militias try to cleanse the Aryan race, Jesse faces the Nazi power in front of 100 000 spectators of the Olympic stadium. One weapon: his body, one strategy: to run, one goal: to win

“RACE” raises for its development several personalities and companies such as Quad (Intouchables), RES PUBLICA, Prisma (Qatar), Yves Sabouret (Honorary Chairman of « La Fondation de France »), Christophe Charlier (Chairman of Le Castle and Pure Grass).
