Siberian Ice Half Marathon – Running at minus 27 degrees! By Inna Chernoblavskaya
As Siberian Ice Half-Marathon is one of the coolest in the world the main question is "What the temperature was?". This year it was – 27 and very high humidity. So, it was enough hard. Especially for foreigners who are running for the first time in such extreme conditions.
About 700 runners took part in the event.
We are satisfied with that number… every participant is a hero in such conditions.
The winner among the woman (for the 5th time) was Eugenia Danilova from Omsk 1.22.07 (Russia).
The winner between man was Artem Ekimov from Russia 1.08.29.
The interesting fact: Heidi Riepl (AUT, living in Germany) was the 10th.
