THE BANANE DE GUADELOUPE & MARTINIQUE CONTINUES ITS COMMITMENT TO RUNNIN

For 15 years, the Schneider Electric Marathon of Paris has been an unmissable event for the Banane de Guadeloupe & Martinique.

As every year, the French banana will welcome visitors to the Run Experience show which will bring together all running enthusiasts.

On its green space (in the colors of its campaign), gourmets and food lovers will discover, during culinary workshops, recipes based on French bananas:

• Friday, April 1st from 12pm to 6pm: Workshop of Frédéric Jaunault – awarded Meilleur Ouvrier (Best Worker) of France Primeur (Greengrocer) 2011 and Ambassador of the Banane de Guadeloupe & Martinique.
• Saturday April 2 from 11am to 5pm: Workshop of Jérôme Bertin – chef from Guadeloupe.

Sunday, April 3, 2022, a group of 50 people will wear the colors of the Banane de Guadeloupe & Martinique. 18 runners, including 3 women, come especially from the 2 islands with a race objective under 3 hours for a third of them.

More than 26 tons or 130,000 bananas will be offered to the runners (at the various refreshment points) to give them courage and energy!

Recycle your running shoes with Africa Run

You’ve got an old pair of running shoes sitting on a shelf gathering dust.

When you go to collect your race number at the Run Experience, hand in your old running shoes on the Africa Run stand and give them a second lease of life!

This association has been collecting, repairing and transporting running shoes to West Africa since 2006.

When the shoes arrive there, they are then distributed to local associations which decide how best to use them, depending on the situation of the terrain and the needs of the population.

The Africa Run association’s goal is to organise a delivery at least once a year.

CHILDREN RACE MARATHOON’S: REGISTRATIONS ARE OPE

Register for free your children until 5 and 10 years

Your children can also take part of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris by running the Marathoon’s on Saturday April 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Parc Montsouris (entrance at 29 rue Nansouty 75 014 Paris).

Three starts are planned depending on the children’s ages:

• 30 am:5-6 years – P’tits Marathooniens: 400m
• 11 am:6-7 years – Moyens Marathooniens: 800m
• 11.30 am: 8-10 years – Grands Marathooniens: 1200m
