The SEB Tallinn Marathon will take place on Sunday, September 8th, 2013 in the City Centre of Tallinn.
The SEB Tallinn Marathon is organized by Sport Event Team (Spordiürituste Korraldamise Klubi MTÜ in Estonian), in co-operation with the Tallinn City Government and sponsors.

RACE OFFICE AND EXPO
Race documents will be issued from September 4th to 7th in the Race Office next to the Freedom square (Expo 7th of September) or on September 8th in the competition centre on Freedom square from 7:00 AM. The race offi ce will be open every day from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The race documets will be given out when presenting an ID.
NB! You need to know your startnumber (BIB). You can find it from the startlist. Please write it down and take it with you to the Race Office!
Race documents consist of a race number, pins, a chip, an info booklet, aT-shirt for marathon runners, sponsors materials.
All participants can get their race documents prior to the race from the Race Office. If at all possible, please come and collect your start issues as early as possible, because on the day of the race there will be a lot of people and you can avoid standing in long lines this way.
The organizing team of the run is also present in the Race Office and they are ready to answer whatever questions you may have about the event.
Registration for the race is opened! On September 8th, race documents will be given out from the secretariat next to the Freedom square from 7:00 AM.
PASTA PARTY

SEB Tallinn Marathon official pasta party restaurant is Vapiano. Visit Vapiano restaurants in Solaris Center (Estonia pst 9, Tallinn) or in Vapiano Foorum (Hobujaama 10, Tallinn) between 6-9 September 2013. Show your startnumber and Pasta Bolognese and Pasta Pomodoro e Rucola for you only 3 euro. |
CHANGING FACILITIES AND CLOTHING BAGS
There is a changing facilities and bags collection point in the competition center on Freedom square. Check the competiton center map.
On the day of the marathon you will be able to leave your clothing-bag to the collection point on green area of Kaarli street from 7.30 AM. All marathon and half marathon runners have special clothing bag you receive with startdocuments marked with your start number. All 10 km runners need to use a bag, which is properly closed. Please note these bags are for clothing only and you should not include anything else especially no valuables or fragile possessions. Please ensure that you give your bag to our authrized collection point only. Do not leave your clothing bag unattended at any time in any other place. Clothing bags must be collected by latest 5 PM.
START NUMBER (BIB)
Only entrants with official race numbers (BIB) for the SEB Tallinn Marathon 2013 will be permitted to compete in the race. Race numbers are not transferable. Bibs should be pinned to the front of the T-shirt so that the numbers are clearly visible. The participants will get the safety pins with their start items. The participants can keep their numbers after the race. On the back of your start number you will find the Medical Info form. Please full fill the form. Please use an ink pen.
TIMEKEEPING
The timing device is on the back of your BIB. BIB must be weared on front of chest. Do not cover the BIB with jacket, BIB must be visible from start to fi nish. Do not fold or bend this BIB in any way! In case of damaged timing device the results may not recorded! The competitor can keep the BIB with timing device after the race, it does not need to return to organizers.
START
SEB Tallinn Marathon is an individual competition with mass start. We have only bruto time! The competition centre will be located on Freedom square, in City Centre of Tallinn. Start and fi nish are close to eachother. The race will start at 9:00 AM from the street cross of Pärnu and Valli next to Freedom square. Check the map

Every runner must enter start gate according to his/her start number. Starting from a wrong start gate will lead to disqualification.
COURSE
The competition centre will be located on Vabaduse square, in City Centre of Tallinn. Start and fi nish are close to eachother. The course will consist of pavement roads and will be marked. For everybody’s safety, the participants must obey orders given by traffic organizers. Check the map
WATER AND REFRESHMENT POINTS
There will be 15 refreshment stations on the course of marathon race, 7 on half marathon and 2 on 10 km race. The stations will off er water, sport drinks (SIS), food, etc. Please remember do not throw the empty cups and bottle on the course. Throw it beside the course. This is important for the safety of the athletes coming up behind you. Please only take enough refreshments for your own consumption so there is enough for everyone. In every stations there is a medical service and a toilet.
Marathon 42,2 km
The marathon will consist of 2 laps (2 x 21,1 km). Check the course map. Along the course there are timekeeping control points. The time will be taken on kilometer 10, 21,1 and 30. You must run over all contact mats along the way as a proof that you have run the complete course. Time limit 7 hours.

Pace maker (marathon)
There will be pacers for the following running times of 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 5:00 hours. You will be able to recongnize the pacers by their black shirts marked with starting numbers with the pace time. In start coridor they will have coloured balloons in hands.
Half marathon 21,1 km
The half marathon will consist of 1 lap (1×21,1 km). Check the course map.
Refreshment stations are located on kilometer approx.:
3 km Russalka;

The 10 km will consist of 1 lap (1×10 km). Check the course map.
Refreshment stations are located on kilometer 5. ja 8. The stations will off er water and sports drinks.
MEDICAL SERVICE
It will be possible to contact medical services along the course and at each refreshment station. It will also be available at the start/finish area. Medical personnel and organizers shall have the right to remove any participants with signs of injury or excessive strain from the race. In case of emergency call 112.
MARATHON AREA
After fi nishing the marathon race all marathon runners are welcome to visit marathon area on Freedom square. Entrance with your start number. In the area is possible to relax, eat and get massage. Medal gravering (4 eur) is opened.
CANCELLING
In case of cancelling, please inform organizers at the nearest refreshment station. Organizers have the right to remove a participant from the course if he/she does not arrive to the timekeeping point within time limit or does not fi nish the race latest at 4PM. Time limits for marathon runners: 21,1 km 2h 45min, 30 km 4h 30min.
Medical personnel and organizers shall have the right to remove any participants with signs of injury or excessive strain from the race.
DISQUALIFICATION
Organizers shall have the right to disqualify a participant, if he/she does not obey the rules of competition, discommodes other competitors or obstructs organizers.
RESULTS AND DIPLOMA PRINT
AWARD CEREMONY
All finishers of marathon and half marathon will get a medal.
The awards ceremony of the marathon will take place at 2:30 PM in the competition centre on Freedom square.
On marathon race 6 men and 6 women will be awarded. After the main awards ceremony there will be an awards ceremony for diff erent age groups of marathon race. On half marathon 5 men and 5 women will be awarded, 10km 3 men and 3 women.
There are also special prizes and lottery prizes.
HARIBO CHILDREN RACES
Haribo children races take place on Saturday, 8th of September starting at 2 pm on Freedom square.
Distance ca 300 m. Children in age 2-12 are welcome to participate. There are diff erent age groups, boys and girls will run separately.
