RUNNING USA – Twin Cities In Motion Names imATHLETE Race Registration Partner
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – With Twin Cities In Motion registration now open for its fun upcoming February and March 2013 events -the TC Kids Fieldhouse Fun Run, the Valentine's Day TC 5K Run/Walk, presented by Marathon Sports, and the 100% Irish for a Day TC 5K and TC 10 Mile, presented by Marathon Sports – participants are enjoying a seamless, social registration experience thanks to new partner, I Am Athlete, LLC.
ImATHLETE (imATHLETE.com), a technology company that is enhancing the way individuals, race directors and sports organizations promote and engage in healthy lifestyles, was tapped to manage registration of all TCM events for 2013, including its family-friendly Feb/March events as well as the Medtronic TC 1 Mile, the Red, White & Boom TC Half Marathon and the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and Medtronic TC 10 Mile.
imATHLETE was chosen for its unmatched consumer experience and successful track record helping race organizers reduce workload and enhance customer support with industry-leading tools like its automated bib assignment and corral management platform. As participants logon to register, they will be greeted with a TCM-branded interface and new DIY registration tools such as editing their own registration, upgrading races or connecting with other athletes. imATHLETE's technology also allows for registration of multiple family members in a single transaction.
"A simple, easy registration process is a critical part of the runner experience especially as we continue growing," Twin Cities In Motion Executive Director Virginia Brophy Achman said. "We're excited to have our racers connect with our events through imATHLETE, who provides the tools to make TCM more efficient and our racers more easily engaged."
"We are thrilled to be named the new race registration partner for TCM Events," said Jeff Matlow, CEO, imATHLETE. "We are impressed with the way the TCM team manages their events and know that imATHLETE's social commerce can help their efforts to even further elevate the runner experience."
Launched in 2008, imATHLETE remains at the forefront of event management technology. The company has successfully reduced the workload of its clients through a suite of unique productivity tools. The platform also brings a social element to event sign-up, enabling racers to personalize their profiles, and share race details and information with fellow competitors.
