LOS ANGELES – In an ambitious attempt to set a new Guinness World Record, Marie-Louise Stenild will run the official course of the Honda LA Marathon Presented by K-Swiss on Monday, November 1, 2010 as part of her effort to become the first woman ever to complete seven marathons in seven days on seven continents. She has chosen the Los Angeles course as the third stop in a grueling week-long "7x7x7" effort that begins in Antarctica on October 30 and ends in her home town of London on November 5.
In Los Angeles, Stenild will follow the spectacular Stadium to the Sea route that debuted at the 2010 Marathon. She will be joined by Marathon Director of Operations Stacy Embretson and other members of the running community. Stenild will run through four cities and the federal VA property on the way from Dodger Stadium to the Santa Monica Pier, passing landmarks that include Los Angeles City Hall, Grauman's Chinese Theater, the Capitol Records Building and Rodeo Drive. She will also run past the Guinness World Records Museum in her 12th mile.
As part of her 7x7x7 challenge, Stenild is raising money on behalf of the Adam Rogers Trust, established in 2007 in honor of Adam Rogers who was just thirteen when he died of a brain tumor. The charity helps care for children with cancer and provides assistance to adults with learning disabilities. With just under £4,000 raised so far (the equivalent of about $6300), her goal is to collect a total of £10,000 ($15,730) for the cause.

Stenild will be available for interviews before her Monday run at 1:00pm and after she has crossed the finish line in Santa Monica, at around 6:00pm. Interviews can also be arranged along the course. To learn more about her world record attempt, visit: www.7x7x7.co.uk
