RUNNING GERMANY – Mount Everest Stair Marathon – Radebeul/Dresden – fascinating – unique – Bidding for the 8th Radebeul Mt. Everestmarathon on 21./22. april 2012

The course 39700 stairs, 8848 meters in height, 84390 meter length. One round consist's of 88,48 m climb up and down and also a length of 843,90 m. If you go for 100 rounds you climb up Mt.Everest from water level up to the top. At the same time you run one marathon up and one douwn. A realy hard way.

The Contest

There are three possibilities to climb up: Run no. 1 –

The lonesome Each single competitor has to go for 100 rounds and got 24h time to climb Mt. Everest. If nobody is able to do that, the competitors who's got the most meters in height will win to contest. It's also posibble to set up a new record by running as much as possible rounds in 24 h.

Run no. 2 –

A team of three These teams containing of three competitors will to go for the top. Any competitor has to take a minimum of 25 rounds, so that they also have a maximum of 50 rounds. The fastest team will win.

Run no. 3 –

Tourist climb up Here we have a team of 100 competitors and each one of them wil go for one round. It is possible to run twice but the minimum of copetitors for the team is at 75. The fastest team will win. Terms and conditions The registration is possible from the 01th of september in 2011.

The first start is at the 21th of april in 2012 around 04:00 pm. You will get a detailed timetable with the start list or will be shown in the internet. The registration for the "lonesome run" is limtied and only competitors with a age of 18 years (or even older) could registrate theirself. All registrated competitors have to pay a entry fee of € 65,-.

Registrations after the 15th of march in 2012 have a entry fee of € 90,-. The registration for the "team of three" is limtied and only competitors with a age of 18 years (or even older) could registrate theirself. All registrated teams have to pay a entry fee of € 90,-. Registrations after the 15th of march in 2012 have a entry fee of € 125,-.

The registration for the "tourist climb" is limtied and only competitors with a age of 14 years (or even older) could registrate theirself. All registrated teams have to pay a entry fee of € 300,-. Registrations after the 15th of march in 2012 have a entry fee of € 400,-.

How to get here

If you travel by car just leave the highway number A4 on exit 80 (Dresden-Wilder Mann). Down at the trafficsing turn to the right and follw the mainstreet heading to Moritzburg. When you leave the village of Boxdorf turn to left heading to Wahnsdorf or Spitzhaus.

Follow the sings to the parking area on the left site of the street. Now go to the end of the road and you'll see the perstart area.  

Competitors how travel by train use the station named Radebeul-Ost. Now it is an 10 15 min walk right ahead to the hills. It's possible to send give us the information of your arrival so that we are able to pick you up.  

The next Airport is in Dresden-Klotzsche (DRS).
