RUNNING GERMANY – BERLIN – Countdown: 10 days to go – the big word sustainability – BERLIN-MARATHON

Sustainability.  A word that has characterized the German-speaking world increasingly in the past two decades. Of course also the organizers of the BERLIN-MARATHON thought about it how to contribute to this matter.

For this year's Berlin Marathon the motto is the first time "The films of today are the films of tomorrow." The thermal films in the start and finish areas are collected, pressed and packed into containers to be picked up afterwards from the ALBA Berlin GmbH and recycled into new films and other plastic items.

At the BERLIN VITAL  are only reusable dishes used to meet the ecological thought, as well as the skaters get ecological water bottles.

Furthermore there will be released a small new feature at the homepage of the BERLIN MARATHON in the coming days.

To promote the use of public transport a timetable of the BVG, the public transport company of Berlin, will be integrated on the website.

Another new feature will be a little search engine of a german car sharing provider at the homepage as well.
