GERMANY RUNS: BERLIN – Registration opens for the 40th GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2021

From social distancing to distance 21.0975k. After many weeks in which sporting events have been postponed or cancelled, there is finally light at the end of the runner’s tunnel.

And of course skaters, wheelchair athletes and hand bikers can also get excited for the 40th GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON that is now scheduled for April 11, 2021.

Registration officially opens today! So there is now a new goal to train for, which will be rewarded with a big anniversary medal at the finish behind the Brandenburg Gate.

New registration format with personal user account

SCC EVENTS is introducing a new registration format for the 40th GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON. By creating an individual user account, registration for all events hosted by SCC EVENTS becomes more efficient.

The modern system guarantees a fast and easy registration process.Young people under the age of 18 may not create their own accounts. A legal guardian must carry out the registration for the youth. No data record is therefore created for the underage participant.

The race entry will be assigned to the legal guardian and the data of the youth will only be stored for this race entry .

Horrido! On to the #schweinehundchallenge

Whoever brought the pig and dog together, nothing good came out of it: a grunting beast that prefers to vegetate on the couch at home.

But now, with the #schweinehundchallenge, a natural enemy is making itself at home in the pig-dog’s comfy habitat. Every one of us can think of a challenge that requires a lot of effort—whether it means doing a 200-meter duck walk, running track intervals on a Friday afternoon, or giving up a ice cream treat on Saturday. Take the challenge and kick the bristly pig-dog in its flabby arse.

Upload a video or photo of you defeating your own inner pig-dog with the #schweinehundchallenge and don’t forget to tag @scc_events and nominate three friends whose inner pig-dogs are currently squealing particularly loudly.

We will announce the official kick-off on social media. (The German idiom “overcoming your inner ‘pig-dog’” means to ignore the lazy voice inside your head and do something difficult).
