This Weekend's Event

Fastest Feet in NYC

5th Ave. MileClaim your spot at the starting line of the fastest one-mile straightaway in NYC: the NYRR Fifth Avenue Mile Presented by Nissan on September 22. Check out the schedule of heats online, so you can plan for yours. This year kids 8 to 14 will cheer on the pros, who compete in the afternoon heats. When the kids cap off the day at 1:15 p.m., the pros will be at the finish for high-fives and congratulations.

Visit Nissan Innovation for Endurance Zones at each quarter-mile mark to enjoy entertainment and get special giveaways. Nissan vehicles will mark these zones, making them easy for spectators and runners to spot. Olympian Kara Goucher will be at the awards stage at the finish (Fifth Avenue and 60th Street) signing autographs from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and then listen for her on the mic during the pro women's heat at 12:45.
