MOKRAJI AND IOZZIA WIN THE MARCIALONGA RUNNING COOP 2017

Today, the valleys of Fiemme and Fassa in Trentino (Italy) hosted the fifteenth edition of the Marcialonga Running Coop, the third competition organised by the local OC, this time for the running lovers.

 

Lahcen Mokraji, a real gazelle, has won the 26 km race from Moena to Cavalese stopping the chronometer at 1:22:43, before his rival Said Boudalia (1:24:01) and another runner of African origin who has been “adopted” by Italy, Khalid Jbari (1:24:48). In fourth place the local athlete Peter Lanziner, who has been overcome in the final part (1:25:29).

Among the ladies Ivana Iozzia, who is also a star of the national team of mountain running, has clearly won (1:35:23) before Sarah Giomi (1:38:23) and Maurizia Cunico (1:39:12), who is another aficionado of the Marcialonga Running Coop.

This race has also completed the special ranking of those who have participated in all three Marcialonga events (Skiing, Cycling and Running). Among the men, the best is once again Thomas Bormolini and among the ladies a great Chiara Caminada is the first. 

This edition of the Running Coop has seen also a relay competition; the congratulations go to the three athletes of the team Atletica Valle di Cembra Gianni Tiefenthaler, Cristiano Mosca and Alfredo Pojer, who have won with the time of 1:35:20.
