The 18th N.C.C. – TTM Mini Marathon Chalerm Phrakiart 2010 on August 12, brought together over 2,000 avid local and international joggers with the same ambition of winning a prestigious H.M. the Queen’s Trophy, presided over by Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Committee Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation.
Organized for the 18th consecutive year by N.C.C. Management & Development Co., Ltd., the annual charity sports event commemorates the auspicious occasion of H.M. the Queen’s Birthday and is kindly supported by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and Thailand Tobacco Monopoly (TTM), Ministry of Finance.
As ever, all proceeds after expenses were donated to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross Society.
Also as usual, the main event, a 10-km. mini marathon where winners were rewarded with H.M. the Queen’s trophies, attracted a large field of joggers both from local and overseas, including several jogging clubs. The event also comprised a 5-km. walk-run with dazzling cash prizes, a 1.8-km. charity walk-run and a walk rally for teams of three participants which involved searching for RCs (Route Checks) at game stations along a special route inside Benjakitti Park.
Among those joining the charity walk-run were several notable figures, including Pu-Anchalee, Lookkade Methanee & Sky Kingpayom, Cindy Sirinya & Leila Bishop and more.
Once again, N.C.C. Management & Development Co., Ltd., welcomed the wonderful opportunity to give back to society by hosting this important annual charity sports event in commemoration of H.M. the Queen’s birthday on August 12 and to express our love and deep gratitude to all our beloved mums on Mother’s Day.
