Kiew Marathon/Ukraine – Charity run in memoriam of “ The Hundred of Heaven“ – Kyiv’s marathon organizes the charity run in memoriam of “ The Hundred of Heaven“

On the 27^th of April the charity run will take place in Kiev in memoriam of the ones who died in days of civil protests in the center of the capital. The race takes place at the annual Kiev's International Marathon, all the desirous to take part in the race are welcome.

The purpose of the race is to raise money for the families of the dead heroes of "The Hundred of Heaven". The distance of the race is 5 kilometers. All who wants to take part are welcome. The entry fee is 150 UAH.

"We can't just stay aside of the horrible events on the Maidan and we want to make our donation to help the families of the dead heroes of the Maidan, – informs one of the organisers of  Kiev's International Marathon, Dmitriy Chernitskiy, – This year the participants of the Marathon will have the ability to run the marathon in honor of "The Hundred of Heaven" and to support their families.

The money raised will be transferred to the charitable foundation bank account of the "Community Foundation Pryirpinnya", which supports the program for helping the families of fallen members who died for Ukraine's Independence.  

The registration of participants is open for now.

The charity run in honor of " The Hundred of Heaven " will take place on the 27^th of April, the start is at 9:30, the start and finish of the marathon id the Contractova square.

Reference: Kyiv International Marathon – www.kyivmarathon.org – it is a marathon where athletes and professional runners take part. The event takes place annually since 2010 with the support of the Kiev authorities and the Athletics Federation of Kyiv.

The first Marathon in Kyiv took place on the 16^th of October 2010. That time 546 participants from 13 countries showed up on the start line, 144 athletes of them participated in the classic marathon – 42 km 195 m. In 2013, at the fourth Kyiv's Marathon were 1693 participants from 33 countries. To beat the marathon's distance came 451 sportsman.

More than 4,000 fans came to support their participants. This year it will be the fifth anniversary of the Kyiv's Marathon.

Under the terms of the event, participants will be offered the following distances: 42.195 km 21.0975 km, 10 km and 5 km, and for participants from 7 to 14 years – 300 and 1000 meters.

Specific conditions will be for the charity race in honor of the fallen heroes of "The Hundred of Heaven." Start and finish of all the races will take place at the Contractova square.

In the 2014 the route of the Kiev's marathon received a certificate AIMS – Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. Membership in this nonprofit sport organization enables to officially assign ranks and rank athletes according to the results obtained in the marathon. Now all members of the Kiev's race will perform the standards from 3 junior to the master of sports of the international class.
