Kiev Marathon in the capital of Ukraine on April 27th – ASICS – official sponsor of the fifth Kiev marathon

Kiev international marathon will take place in the capital of Ukraine on April 27^th. Traditionally this even is supported by sponsor ASICS – Japanese corporation, one of the biggest producers of sportswear in the world.

Kiev is fairly considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the Europe. That's why more and more foreigners visit the city every year to participate in the marathon. In 2013 3000 people from 33 countries were in the starting line – runners from France, USA, Belgium, Poland, Belorussia, Lithuania, Russia, Kenya, Argentina. Traditionally race amateurs of different levels of training participate together with the strongest sportsmen. More than 4000 fans supported runners. This year stir is expected to be not less than the previous one: this year is anniversary of marathon. Besides, recent political events in Ukraine draw more attention to the marathon.

According to marathon conditions the following distances are proposed to runners: 42,195 km, 21,0975 km, 10 km and 5 km; in the category from 7 to 14 years distances are 300 and 1000 m. Start and finish are in the Kontraktova Ploshcha. The route passes through the central part of the city, so the runners will be able to enjoy the most beautiful historical and architectural monuments.

Significant fact is that in 2014 the route of Kiev marathon received the certificate of AIMS – Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. Participation in this nonprofit organization gives the possibility to officially award sportsmen with grades and classes gained in the marathon. Now all participants of the Kiev race can reach norms from 3^rd junior class to master of sports of international class. Five year cooperation with ASICS became a determinant factor in receiving AIMS certificate.

Support of any marathon by ASICS means the high level of event organization, it gives more popularity and reliability to it and puts the event in one level with all sports projects all over the world in which the company takes place.
