"It's an honor for me to see the race and contact Argentinian athletes", said former 5000/10000 Olympic champion at Munich 72 & Montreal 76. He received a special rec. from Ñandu and Argentina Confederation, also he gave the medals and trophis to winners.

After the "green zone" of Buenos Aires, it introduced to Down-town and classical La Boca area, to become the 2nd section near the Rivera. And finished at the same place of start.
With a nice climate (13-14°C at the start), it was warmy two hours later.

They crossed in 1,04,25 at the half-point with a pack of african runners: trio of Kiptum, Kimutai and debutan Stephen Arita, more Godfrei Kipkogei Kosgei (also from Ken) and Birhanu Bekele Berga (Eth).
Kiptum and Kimutai did a great hand-to-hand since km 30 and Kiptum set the gap seven km ahead. Tatsunori Hamasaki (a 2h12 runner from Japan) tried to contact up to 15 km, but couldn't.
Winner at Cannes 2015 and Durban 2016, with a pb of 2,09,21 last year at Capetown, Kiptum set history in Argentinian soil and was very happy.
