Innovative Timing Systems Acquires XL Run

Innovative Timing Systems and XL Run have announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Innovative Timing Systems acquired XL Run. XL Run is the leading mobile app provider for endurance events.

The acquisition will increase the accessibility of endurance event mobile apps and live race tracking. This will provide benefits to both race participants and spectators while generating significant new business and revenue opportunities.

The combination will extend XL Run's world-class brand and the reach of its platform, while enhancing Innovative Timing System's existing portfolio of real-time RFID chip timing products and services for athletic events.

With over 30 events and thousands of user downloads, XL Run has been a pioneer at engaging race participants, family, friends, and spectators at major events.

With their revolutionary technology, an athlete's progress can now be posted to friends and family on Facebook and Twitter, or tracked in real-time using the XL Run app. Innovative Timing Systems also has a long-standing focus and commitment to generating unparalleled experiences at events with their various products, including Jaguar Announcer, (which can display athlete information on large screen monitors), and Jaguar Rapid Results Kiosk, (which allows participants to look up and print results).

XL Run will continue to support and provide custom application software for events that are not using products manufactured by Innovative Timing Systems. Innovative Timing Systems will also continue to invest in and support XL Run clients and events that are not being timed with equipment made by ITS.
