Ingrid Kristiansen supports women in Košice – 90 Years KOSICE Marathon on October 5, 2014

Phenomenal Norwegian long distance runner Ingrid Kristiansen, winner of the 1985 London Marathon in new world record of 2:21:06, has interestedly heard about the program of VSE Women Friendly Marathon (WFM), in which running activities for girls and women from Košice are involved.

She decided to give support to them, at least from a distance and send short greetings.

The second year of WFM ongoing training program, includes 25 training units namely every Thursday in the park Anička in Košice.

The program will culminate during upcoming Kosice Marathon, celebrates on October 5 90 years from  its foundation.


Besides the world record from London Marathon Ingrid Kristiansen has also set records at 5 and 10 km distance and she has also triumphed at Marathon in Boston, Chicago and New York.
