Different. Just like You. Brussels, 2nd March, 2016
On 2nd March, 2016 authors of the 2015 released publication Different. Just like you – A psychosocial approach promoting the rights of persons with disabilities will demonstrate how inclusive sport programmes can be realised.
In 2015, the International Federation of the Red Cross Reference Centre for Psychosocial Support, the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education, Juul Journalistik and Kommunikation, and Light for the World finished a two year projects that has put emphasis on the importance of empowerment of persons with disabilities and the role that psychosocial support plays in this regard.
One of the results, a handbook for policy makers and multipliers, will be introduced to European policy makers who themselves will find convincing arguments why psychosocial support is important when working towards more inclusion.
Hosted by Helga Stevens MEP (ECR) and Adam Kosa MEP (EPP), this presentation will take place on 2nd March 2016 between 12.30 and 14.00h, in the European Parliament.
