Ethics and Governance in Sport – Sport is Value-Neutral
Editors and authors of a recently published publication by Routledge are demanding a new model of sport that goes beyond the view that sport automatically encourages positive values.
Instead it is claimed that sport is heavily affected by poor practice and corruption which demands effective decisions towards better governance.
The publication has been edited by Yves Vanden Auweele, Elaine Cook and Jim Parry.
Mohammad Zubayer Appointed as FIMS Fellow – Honour for ICSSPE Member
During their last executive meeting in Guatemala, the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) have granted Mohammad Zubayer fellow membership within their organisation to honour his contribution to sports medicine.
Zubayer is President of the Bangladesh Institute of Sports Sciences which is a long-standing member of ICSSPE.
PhD Scholarship in Exercise and Cancer – Melbourne, Australia
The Institute for Health and Ageing of the Australian Catholic University is seeking a scholar for a PhD scholarship opportunity in the area of exercise and cancer.
The offer is a full-time scholarship valued at ~$31,000 per annum, based in Melbourne, Australia.
